Event overview

During 1-3 March 2019, the AAUS and CASA are running DroneZone, a forum for industry and government experts to come together to inform and educate. The event is part of the Australian International Airshow 2019 at Avalon Airport.

The DroneZone Downunder website states the event will attract:

  • “professional business users
  • commercial drone pilots
  • fire and emergency responders
  • real estate photographers
  • film crews.”

Attendees will also include, among others:

  • “security organisations
  • mining and resource operators
  • search and rescue professionals”

More than 8,000 people visited the Drone Showcase pavilion when the event was held in 2017.

Organisers have doubled the exhibition area for the 2019 event. They have also extended the seminar program and promised that the forum will be unlike any other in Australia.
